Are you burnt out or…

 

Are you suffocating your feminine?

 

Feminine AKA Yin Energy

 

This is the energy within you that longs to feel free to express through

 

🌿 free flow movement of the body - dance and yoga

 

🌿 unstructured plans - flowing with the current of life, seeing where life wants to take you

 

🌿 being creative, journaling, reading, painting and creating

 

🌿 Spending time in nature - listening to the birds, watching the sun change colours as it sets

 

🌿 Following intuition over logic - listening to that gut feeling

 

🌿 Resting and nourishing through baths, massage, pedicure

 

🌿 Receptive and open to receiving life - feeling pursued by a lover, or accepting unexpected gifts life offers

 

🌿 the part that is deeply empathetic, compassionate and understanding - connected to the wisdom of the heart

 

🌿 the part who longs to experience pleasure and appreciates beauty - being in states of orgasmic energy, decorating the house for a dinner party with friends

 

Unfortunately, society does not yet celebrate or quantify these qualities as worthy.

 

Many females experiencing burnout are in fact experiencing the effects of an over dominant masculine energy society and in their lives.

 

When masculine energy is too dominant you may not feel valued, nurtured, or appreciated.

You'll feel tired, stressed, overworked and unloved.

 

This is not to say that masculine energy is wrong and bad, no, masculine energy is essential.

 

When it is in balance, and healthily operating masculine energy provides leadership, action, logic, adventure, loyalty, confidence, focus, and efficiency.

 

Whereas when feminine energy is over dominant it creates a feeling of being unsupported, unfocused, scattered and unstable, without purpose or direction.

 

So what is the solution?

 

How do you stop from feeling burnt out?

 

You create balance.

 

Like the giant scales you used to play with in primary school, to inhabit a human vessel is to host both masculine and feminine energies.

 

In that hosting to become accountable to maintaining their balance.

 

If like me, you spend many hours a day working on a laptop - a masculine activity of productivity and discipline. Then it is essentialto balance this energy with feminine activities such as walking in nature, talking with friends.

 

If you are naturally included towards flow states, moving slowly and unstructured through your day, then you will require activating masculine action and focus to maintain essential functions like doing your tax or showing up to work on time.

 

I invite you to feel into your body, imagine you can feel these two energies inside yourself - masculine and feminine or yin and yang.

 

Imagine that each has its own colour and texture, maybe masculine is gold and feminine is red.

 

With your mind's eye and your felt sense, feel which energy is more dominant in your body.

 

Feel if that energy is healthily dominant or over dominant.

 

Visualise yourself doing an activity that will bring balance to the energy which is lacking.

 

Open your eyes and write a list of things you can do to bring balance.

 

My assumption is that many of you had a hyper dominant masculine.

 

This is common for most of the female bodies in our society.

 

We haven't been taught how to cultivate and care for our feminine energy.

 

The journey to balancing our masculine and feminine energy is long. I myself have only just come to fully love and trust my masculine energy .

 

But it is, I believe essential if we want to move away from constantly being on the verge of overwhelm and burn out.

 

At my retreat Winter Witches we will be focusing on bringing deep nourishment, balance and honour to the feminine energy within all of us.
